A second image for the new 2006 model of the Subaru Hybrid "Type-25" Impreza.This image shows the car moving over a lava and dust ridden environment. I can’t believe how much trouble the colour of the car gave me in getting it to look cool/super-real and still recognisable. Black is an absolute nightmare, even more so if you only take a couple of quick snaps of the car as reference… That being said, I’m quite satisfied with the outcome, the background looks dirty enough without impinging on the car too much. I just wish I could keep a black car that clean!

I tried to comment on this ages ago, but DA, predictably, timed out on me and ate a rather verbose comment...grr.
To keep it short...this is the next 'new age' Impreza. I can see Subaru fans like myself frothing at the mouth and screaming blasphemy...but oddly enough, despite the fact that it looks like one almighty mongrel of a car, you make it look good here. Not only does it SOMEHOW still look like a STi, it looks really damn nice! I don't know how you managed it, considering the car to start with ain't attractive. You're raw skill on two legs, you know that, right? Something that had me screaming in agony and wrath when I first laid eyes on it has me slightly pacified here.
Seriously though, the background is truly phenomenal, as is the car and the amalgamation of the two. I'm completely convinced that's a photo of a Type-25 roaring across a lava-encrusted wasteland. I don't know HOW you got a black car to look so damn good (I'm attempting several black cars right now, both vector and oil on canvas, and now I'm just laughing at them), but you did...and for that I worship you!

This is insanely realistic, theres great character and speed in the picture you've really brought the car's looks, speed and greatness into it, great sync with the background as well.

the execution is impressive, it looks astoundingly real, the metal reflections are amazingly well achieved, and I know those can be a pain in the ass. and yes, Black is a bitch.
