Concept PaintingThis image was created as a guide for modelling and texture artists, demonstrating the look and feel of an enviroment. The intended sensation being that it's tempting to go towards the window, but somehow there is also a threatining feeling over there.
This image was created in ~7-8 hours using PhotoShop CS + Intuos 2 Tablet. Original res 1600x2450

You're right, I want to go towards the window, but somehow I feel like I would be jumped over there by something creepy, you did an excellent job of portraying that emotion. If you meant to that is lol

i just wanna move into that house.
i had this theory (i have alot of theories) that art (be it photography, digital, tradition or whatnot) is liked by the viewer because either it takes them to a place similar to one they remember from the past (reminds them of it), or it takes them to a place deep in their imagination, a place they fantasize and dream about to be in. or a bit of both
for me this piece is the latter, i've always wanted to move into a big mansion which is hauten and dark and creaky etc.

Hell yes it feels threatening! I'm expecting a rabid zombie wolfdog to materialize out of that hazy space in the middle of the picture.
Fantastic way of creating mood. I can imagine how different it would be if it were done with a pale yellow color scheme - more "happy days of my childhood in the basement" than "did you hear that?! Did it come from over there?!"
