Description
I was commissioned to draw Scar from Fullmetal Alchemist, and it was to be a full-body pose and a close-up of his face; to integrate the two componenets naturally, I came up with the idea of the WANTED poster. Scar is not an easy character to draw, especially since I dislike rendering bulky guys. I'm relatively satisfied with this picture, because I feel the 'delivery' is much more effective than my other works, which is something I've been working on. Hope you like =]------

eh...Scar's hand does look a bit too fat and bulky here...
Having said that though, the rest of the picture is like, flawless!! The lighting and perspective creates a v. appropriate mood for the piccy, so yeah, you definitely "delivered" on this one

I personally think that the size of scar's 'alchemy' hand is too big, though that might have been done for dramatic effect. I also sort of annoyed by how dark the right side of his face is, but that's personal taste. The light on the poster also seems sort of weird. I suppose you were thinking that there was a light source just above or pointed at the wanted poster. I think the light would ended up a bit more on Scar just because of how bright it is on the poster.

The lighting on this is absolutely fantastic- the combination of the two light sources acting on him is wonderfully excuted, especially in how they bear different colours. The shading is well placed and the colours suit it well. The way it imitates a painted medium is really something.

Um, Scar's arm doesn't glow like that unless it's destroying something or absorbing pieces of the Stone. And the alchemy circle on his arm doesn't look like that. In fact, no Alchemy circle incorporates a grid.

I am aware of the fact that Scar's arm does not glow unless he's destroying something, but he idea was to draw Scar in action, so the practicality of the image does not matter. Thank you for pointing out the the alchemy circle, I referred to a screenshot from the anime, I guess it left out some details, maybe I'll fix it later. Thank you very much for the crits!
