The three siblings surveyed the open field below them. They established team territories, and chose objects from the small pile they'd brought. Drex smiled and gave a quick bow as Troi bounded up the hill to join them. "Hi guyth! What'th up?" "Just watching the day go by." the red dragon chuckled, "We were getting ready to set up for another game of Capture-the-Flag." His eyes fell upon the medallion and Drex lifted an eye ridge with intrigue. "What'cha wearing there Tux?" Troi proudly glanced down at his chest and beamed. "It'th one of my Pa'th medallionth. Each one hath a different rune thymbol on it. Thith one ith for wind." Fliz leaned closer and sniffed at the medallion before looking back up. "What do they do?" "You can do lot-th of thingth with them. I don't know what thpathifically. Ma want-th me to wear it until I'm uthed to it." The blue frost dragon tilted her head questioningly at the statement. "Until you get used to it? Used to what?" They watched Troi fumble his claws on the metal surface before he answered. "I'm learning how to keep it'th powerth under control. It'th the firth-t th-tep in being able to uthe them." Vliticus had listened quietly to their friend's explanation, and now scratched his chin in thought. He finally pointed to the medallion with interest. "Would you let us try that?" "Only dragonth with rune magic can control them, but you can give it a try if you want. It ith th-throng magic though. You might want to hold onto thomething." Vliticus scoffed a little at Troi's suggestion, but grasped the bare piece of rock he stood on just a little more firmly nonetheless. Troi bowed and carefully slid the strap over his head before walking over and placing it around his friend. "Ok. Hold on now Vliticuth." He lowered the metal disc until it dangled freely over the yellow dragon's chest. "Nothing's hap..." Vliticus said with surprise before he suddenly crouched low and dug his claws into the rock. The wind had suddenly started blowing extremely hard, but it was only blowing against him. Nothing and nobody else was affected. Despite his best efforts, Vliticus could not lean into the wind like he usually did. This was proving to be much stronger than anything he'd previously experienced. Instead of naturally letting his plume of tail feathers fold open, Vliticus kept them bunched up to help reduce drag and avoid having them plucked out. Troi knew Vliticus was a sturdy dragon, but was not expecting to see his friend handling this as well as he was. Eventually the yellow dragon did try to remove the medallion, only to loose his grip on the rock and disappear into the tall grass behind him. "Hahaha! Dude, I didn't think you could move so fast." Drex cackled, "You alright down there?" "I'm ok." the yellow dragon replied. Slowly, he staggered back up the hill with the medallion held in his jaws. The other dragons laughed and patted him on the back when he finally took a seat in front of them, still swaying. "Well, that was fun." Once the medallion was handed back to Troi, he slid it back over his head. A quick burst of air swept over the black dragon before dissipating. "I don't think we should be playing with it this way. They don't seem like toys to me." Fliz noted. "That'th juth-t what Ma thaid when she gave them to me."
