Description Troi took a break from roughhousing with Fliz and Drex to explore the snow-covered valley. He also wanted to see what Vliticus was up to. The black dragon noticed a spot that reminded him of a hot spring, and bounded over to investigate. Even the sound it produced reminded Troi of a fast flowing river. As he got closer though, it became clear that the noise was actually that of air rushing through a shallow trench. Troi found Vliticus firmly bracing himself against his own windstorm within the trench. A dense cloud of powdery snow was continuously being thrown out of the hole as Vliticus let a constant, powerful blast of air drill into its back wall. He was covered with steaks of snow that had blown against him. Troi found a solid spot above the hole and watched curiously. "What'cha doin?" he finally asked. The yellow dragon stopped blowing and raised his head out of the trench with a tired but happy smile. "I wanted to see if I could dig a snow tunnel with my wind. I've already made it about five feet." "Can I thee?" Troi asked, leaping to his feet excitedly. Vliticus nodded and invited his friend over to the side of the trench where he could look into the hole. The wind had left little grooves across the otherwise smooth surfaces of the walls, floor and ceiling. The back wall of the tunnel was defined by a target-like formation who's center protruded back into the chamber like a stalactite that had grown sideways. "What ith that? Ithn't it dangerouth?" Troi asked, pointing at the formation. "That is just a result of my digging method." his friend explained, "It acts like a cone while the snow around it is being removed. Eventually, it breaks up and wears away like the rest of the tunnel." The black dragon nodded as he studied the rest of the structure. "Would you like to give it a try?" Vliticus finally offered. For a moment Troi didn't think his friend was serious. When he finally understood, he drew his head back as a broad smile spread across his face. "Oh yeth pleathe! Thith thoundth awethome!" The yellow dragon sprang effortlessly out of the trench and shook himself off while Troi took his place. He quickly checked that he was in the right position before starting. Just then, Vliticus offered some advice he had just remembered. "Try to put out as much air as you can. It goes much smoother that way." Troi gave his friend a little nod before focusing his attention on the tunnel wall. That formation really did look like a target now. He threw himself forward as his jaws sprang open, releasing a mighty gale. The end of the tunnel was quickly lost in a blizzard. Millions of snowflakes swirled angrily in the chamber before being swept out. Almost immediately, the redirected wind roared past Troi, jostling him roughly. The black dragon continued to glare at the formation, even if he couldn't see it anymore. He soon closed his eyes though, as tiny bits of ice were blown in his face. All of his fur rippled and danced rapidly in the swiftly moving air. Little white streaks of snow began to cling to him, steadily growing and expanding as more snow collected. He could feel it trying to pile up around his paws too. One such pile was swept away as Troi reached out and dug his claws into the snow. The black dragon anchored firmly to the frozen ground before slowly shifting his weight forwards to stay up with the receding wall. At times it was hard to tell if he was digging the tunnel, or if it were trying to blow him back out. Only the constant cascade of air from his open mouth reminded Troi of what he was doing. The howling wind finally subsided as he let his mouth close and carefully backed out of the hole. Troi squinted over the little drift that had formed right below his eyes. More snow clung to the fur around the base of his horns. He peered over the side of the trench when he heard Vliticus chuckle. "Y-you look like you're wearing goggles." his friend stated. The black dragon found where his friend was laying down and smiled happily. "If I wathn't tho low on air, I'd probably th-tay longer. That really wath fun." He looked at the little mounds of snow lining the sides of the trench. Not only did they seem to have grown, but all of the previous tracks that he and Vliticus had left were wiped out. "It looked like you vanished for a moment. All I could see was just a great big column of white clouds blowing out of there. How far do you think you dug?" Troi looked straight up and scowled in thought before answering. "I think it'th theven or eight feet deep now. A lot of thnow came out." The yellow dragon invited Troi to come up and rest with him, which he was more than happy to accept. After letting Vliticus carefully blow the rest of the snow off him, Troi scooted down into a little depression and tucked his legs comfortably underneath himself. He let the cold air around them trickle quietly into his nose as he slowly refilled his lungs. "It feelth tho weird having your breath blow back againth-t you. I'm th-till shaking from holding mythelf in plathe."
