I wanted to give another comment on one that did not have as many. At 16 I think this is an amazing piece well deserving of an A. It even reminds me of some early sketches by Matisse. However, to critique I must give constructive advice that may help the next still life be even better. So, forgive me if anything in this comment seems harsh I am only trying to help.

I am going to assume it was done in pencil and not charcoal. You should try in your piece to pick an area that you want to make stand out. In this piece the overall picture is done in the same amount of gradation and detail. Create a focal point just like in your photo "eye of the leaf"- hope I got the title right. This could be done in a bazillion different ways. Like you could just pick an area and give it more attention. Or, you could go as far as taping off an area with masking tape and working it over with charcoals, watercolors, or inks. Then remove the tape and it will automatically create a dichotomy. I learned in my life drawing class in college. If you would like to see an example send me a note and I will post it and get back to ya.
