And therein is the point.  Dream logic relies on things that are either psychological or anti-logical in nature (see Lewis Carrol for more on what "anti-logic" means).  A lot of European novels and films rely on dream logic, where things happen for reasons that are not structured or laid out in any great detail. I really love the Italian horror masters like Argento and Fulci and even Bava to a degree because they weren't afraid to use dream logic in their films. 



They weren't afraid to not make sense.

You'r eright about dream logic. I love things that don't make sense personally because I see true freedom within them.

I quite agree!  It's cool to have plot twists, mysteries, logic puzzles, and what not, but true creativity is found in simply saying "Screw this, it means what I want it to mean or it means what the viewer THINKS it means".
