Description
A4 Paper + Gel PenThis one took me about two years to finish - about 20 hours pure time but it sometimes happens with my works. I returned to it added a few strokes and then forgot about it for another month or so. Still not quite happy with the result but at least it's complete enough to reveal now.

This piece works for me on several levels. I love the composition of light and dark, the twisty perspective (which may or may not be the result of the subject matter's "activity") and the line work (inking) and details are wonderful too.

Thank you for taking time to actually comprehend the image. That is a rare thing nowadays. This "may or may not" thing was supposed to be a reflection upon wether our world being such a dark and cruel place is a product feature of the universe or is the nature of men and the games we play make it a struggle.

Балдею от того, как ты ловко управляешься с перспективой и искажениями. Ты крут чувак, крут.

Has a lot of fun stuff in it but you can get lost in all the detail which detracts from the whole. Otherwise a nice bit of ink.

Thank you
Tis is done on purpose as part of my philosophy. I believe a piece of art is to be opposite to a piece of mainstream graphic design in terms of comprehension.
The main problem of modern society is that everything has too much obvious readability. You see a colourful picture, get a quick grip of the image and walk on. This makes most people think the world is like that too. It is totally not.
The modern mainstream art approach has already brought us tons of depressingly uncreative but easily comprehensible movies, loads of fun-drained casual-oriented games and millions of people who think Dali is one too complex painter for them. This is a fine way to devour the whole purpose of art itself.
The viewer has to "talk" to a picture instead of simply "listening" - otherwise it will most likely leave no impact on modern man. Art should never be a "sit back and relax" activity.
Sorry for the ammount of letters It's just that kind of morning for me

That is quite an interesting point view! I was thinking the same thing as Tadpole7, and now this actually makes sense. Thanks for taking the time to explain yourself.
By the way, the picture is truly beautiful.

I think there's room for all types of art but I see your point. Thanks for explaining your reasons behind all the details, lends clarity to what I see in it. I tend to overwork the details at times and thought that was what was going on, I was wrong. Thanks for the reply and the occasional wordy reply is nice as it's not that common.

I also think there's room for everyone. But for me cracks between the bricks always hold a lot more meaning than the wall itself
You're welcome

Спасибо Еще и не так можно. Сейчас просто стало сложнее - найти ручку диаметром меньше 0.5 почти подвиг. Да и 0.5 редко попадаются. Это уже такой спорт перебирать ручки в каждом супермаркете в который попадаешь
