GARDIAN ANGLE

She’s sitting by the bed side
Watching him fade away
As the tears streak down her face
He says it’ll be ok

She holds his hand gently
And feels it grow cold
As his eyes fall shut
And she tells him not to go

Silently he leaves her
Holding his cold hand
She just can’t understand
Why he had to go

The doctors come in
And tell her to leave
She lays his hand down beside him
And leaves his stone cold side

As she slowly walks away
She only thinks of him
How happy he had been
How fond he was of her

The day he was diagnosed
With a deadly dieses
He said it’ll be ok
That is what he believed

And yet now he was gone
His soul up in the sky
Floating with pure white wings
She began to cry

You said it would be ok
Why’d you lie to me?
She sobbed
As she fell to her knees

She cried so hard
And her eyes blurred
As she sat there on the ground
She couldn’t bring herself to stop

Then a gentle hand
Rested on her head
She looked up to see the one
That she thought was dead

She jumped rite up and hugged him
As hard as she could
And he caressed her gently
And so there they stood

I told u it’d be ok
He said with a smile
Because now I’m in heaven
So please let me see your smile

She looked up to his face
And noticed a golden glow
A halo sat upon his head
And he was a glow

I’m your guardian angel
I’ll be sitting in the sky
Ill protect you always
So please don’t cry

I want to see a smile
I was to hear a laugh
I came back to say goodbye
And with that he left

She stood there all alone
With tears still in her eyes
But then she finally smiled
And said a heart felt good bye
