Wow. My first non-fankid redesign. And it looks AWESOME!

Devlon Hurley. One of the few OC's I received that wasn't a fankid based on a ship from TAWOG. He was interesting, to say the least. I was surprised I was given him. He seemed like one of the more unique characters from the fandom. Devlon was given to me by PumpkinLOL a LONG-ASS time ago. He was one of the first characters I received. I've been meaning to do him for a long time now, but I felt like doing all the kid and grandkids first would give me a better sense of how my particular style would work on a non-kid character. And now, after almost a year of having him in my possession, Devlon gets his design.

Looking at his original concept, he screamed Two-Face from Batman, and I think that's what he was based on. He was a criminal that was literally split down the middle. I was always interested in making a character like that, so I was happy to have the chance. First, the head. In the original it looked like it was flesh and fur on one side, and the other was open skull and muscle tissue. I got rid of the red bloody parts and just made it an exposed skull. The skin-half of his face is also a bit more uneven down the center, making it look more like his face was in a tragic accident. He also still has the crooked skeleton smile. His outfit and colors took the biggest hit. While green inverted does give the color purple, I felt like green wouldn't really work. It made him look too..."cartoon-y." Instead I replaced it with a nice golden yellow. The purple was kept, but with added color variation to distinguish the attire. His pants are now a solid white, keeping his boots black at the bottom. For accessories, I gave him a black belt with a green diamond buckle, and a bolo tie with green pendent (just to keep the green in there).

Devlon is definitely going into my collection of crooked villain OC's. I'm not sure where I'll use him, but I'm sure he'll make a big impact wherever he goes.
