A lot of us did, at least until her history came to light.

What history? The comics?Β Because the cartoon version of Terra is very different from the comics.Β And if you are talking about Terra's history in the comics, I suggest you look into Raven's "history".Β Because she also betrayed the Titans and did far more horrible things than Terra ever did.Β But she was able to become a Titan again.Β The series even completely ignored that history when they adapted the Trigon story, unlike they did with Terra.

Um, she still summoned Trigon the Terrible, so I don't know if you skipped those episodes or what. Terra just couldn't live with what she did to them and to Beast Boy personally.

Oh I saw those episodes, and she summoned Trigon but it was very much changed from the original story.Β Raven didn't turn evil, nor did she turn some of Titans evil.Β They also didn't show her destroying Tamaran and killing Starfire's parents.Β They changed it to make Raven into a helpless victim rather than the evil being she really was.Β The writers wanted to make her into a fan favorite and just like in the comics, they ignored everything she did.Β Β Unlike Terra, who, in both the comics and the series, was condemned to hatred by her creators without an explanation.

You think it was hatred that lead to Terra's story? You're a pretty blind fanboy if you think that's what it was.

I'm a blind fanboy?Β You're the one who started shitposting replies to peoples' comments.Β If you knew the history like you claim, you'd know that Terra has always been treated unfairly.Β Even in the current new 52 universe, she had a great new beginning (and yes she was STILL with BB), but DC just had her literally disappear without an explanation.Β She was there one page, and gone for the last couple pages with no mention and hasn't been seen since.Β You're the one sounding like a blind fanboy.

"Treated unfairly"- She was created to be a villain, Marv Wolfman had the idea to subvert how teen teams usually keep any new members for a long time by revealing their new member to be the most despicable and twisted person imaginable. Until the cartoon, Tara Markov had very few fans who saw her as a hero, because she wasn't. It was only the cartoon that made her into a tragic figure and gave us the fan-preferred Terra. If you want a heroic Terra in the comics, go read Power Girl, she mentors Terra II, who is a legit superhero and not just pretending to be one.

Yes, treated unfairly.Β Deathstroke was a villain too, and really the one responsible for Judas Contract, but got none of the blame for what happened.Β He was an implied rapist and pedophile that got rewarded with his own comic book.Β It was also later revealed that Deathstroke drugged his apprentices and that those drugs may have caused Terra to go insane.
And as I said, Raven committed an even worse betrayal than Terra, but it was all forgiven and forgotten and she was welcomed back to the team.Β Terra came back and became a Titan again, but was then brutally killed by Black Adam when he drove his fist through her heart.Β
Atlee was stupid and didn't work.Β That's why the New 52 brought back the regular blonde Tara Markov back rather than Atlee.
I hate people like you.Β Everyone was leaving nice comments here and you had to come in with you trolling and crap all over everything.Β Go die in a fire, I'm done with you.

That's just a clumsy attempt to absolve Terra of blame.
Atlee was an awesome character, you shut your mouth.

As far as I'm concerned, she was, even if only for a little while.
This is really cute. Love it!

Didn't we all.Β I still do, since Things Change was more of a cliffhanger than an ending.

No it wasn't. It's pretty dang conclusive. Whether that's really Terra or not, things are different now, and they can never go back to the way things used to be.

Yes it was.Β You're in the minority because there were plenty of unanswered questions after that episode.Β And it can be easily continued if the producers wanted to.

No, there was only two: Was that really Terra, and if so, did she remember or not? And they both get answered in that episode, by her: Whatever the truth is, it doesn't matter now, the girl and time Beast Boy remembers are both gone, so now he needs to move on. It's over, things change.

Rockymin In reply to maxvision92 [2015-05-23 13:15:58 +0000 UTC]
It was confirmed that the girl is Terra.Β And the truth most certainly does matter now.Β Maybe not to you, but to countless fans of the series, it does.Β And there was no indication at the end of the episode that he in fact "moved on" and forgot her.Β Matter of fact, in the comics, BB still loved Terra long after the end of Judas Contract.Β Despite everything she did.Β Many fans feel its not over.Β
There was no reason for them to make that episode anyway.Β It wasn't like BB was pining away for her through seasons 3-5.Β They could have ended the series just fine with the episode before it.Β It really seems like the episode was made only to screw over Terra and fans of her, just like they always do in the comics.Β
I'm guessing by your attitude that you're a BBRae fan, so of course you'd never have a problem with any negative things they do concerning Terra.Β

maxvision92 In reply to Rockymin [2015-05-23 13:27:30 +0000 UTC]
Whether or not she remember who she was, it's not important. There's a reason Terra, if she DOES remember everything and if she DOES still have her powers, has turned away from the Titans and Beast Boy. And of course it doesn't show that. That's a long process. But he did get past it, the spinoff comic showed that.
There was every reason to make "Things Change"; it's purpose was to bring across that the show was going to be over very soon, and that the fans should move on and not cling to the past. Because when all you can see is the past, you lose focus on what's right ahead of you. That's why they have Terra pretty much stare straight into the camera and state that message.
Huh? Oh, I have no strong feelings whatsoever on that stupid love triangle. And sometimes bad things happen to good people. It doesn't mean someone hates them. That's just life.

Rockymin In reply to maxvision92 [2015-05-23 13:43:48 +0000 UTC]
That spinoff comic was nothing but a cheap and cruel attempt at trolling Terra fans by DC.Β The cover proved that, showing Terra back in her Titans outfit on a rock and the caption "TERRA'S BACK". Β It was a pretty crappy thing for them to do actually.Β
And Things Change could go either way, it seems like it was made so it could be continued if they wanted to or an ending if the show didn't get renewed.

If that's all you took away from that story, then I'm sorry, you plain missed the point. Beast Boy pretty much restates the message of "Things Change" when he shows Geo-Force how much happier she is as just plain Tara, with no worrying about powers or her betrayal or all of that.
Word of Murakami himself is that "Things Change" was written with full intent and knowledge of being the last episode. They were never going to make any more. This was the note they chose to end Teen Titans on, otherwise they wouldn't have peppered the script with references to the past being over, and the need to move on from it.

Well many feel it was a stupid way to end the show and a cop out.Β If she really wanted to forget everything, why did she stay in Jump City?Β Where everything and everyone she supposedly wanted to forget is.Β Not to mention she's attending a school that's right in the neighborhood the Titans hang out in.Β Just because Murakami says something, doesn't mean that was their true intent to begin with.Β It's called PR.

maxvision92 In reply to Rockymin [2015-05-23 21:25:19 +0000 UTC]
She can avoid it, it's a big town.
No, that's not PR. That's the truth. It was always their intent to end it like that. They never planned to make a sixth season.
And it's you who's stinking up the comments by pitching a fit because one guy pointed out that Terra isn't rejoining any time soon.
