Description
Feast your eyes on a rare glimpse of the last unicorn ever recorded in history. This is a male African Unicorn, quite different from the more common Western Unicorn. He was killed by a Spaniard in the late 1700s and unlike most of the African Unicorns that were killed and used for medicinal potions by the native tribes, this unicorn was professionally mounted and preserved as a trophy for the hunter's estate. It was unearthed by the descendants of said hunter just this year and it will be up for auction in the coming months.

This unicorn was made with a cardboard and foam armature. His horn is a carved down wooden dowel with super sculpey detail. The eyes were actually substitutes I made for my Bathsephus mask that I ended up not using. The fur is a mixture of real rabbit fur and synthetic fur.

Commission progress was stalled for about a week because one of my my shipments took way longer than expected to arrive. So in the meantime, I worked on him I am saving him for some shows so he will not be for sale on etsy.
