Congrats to Kindle (MidnightCollies ) for being the lucky gro to adopt Eliane!

Eliane was sitting in one of the main halls of the Nook, lazily looking outside the window at nothing in particular. Once or twice a bird would fly by, or a few wynglings would dart along the field in a game of tag. Alma had told Eliane that she had a very important surprise for her, and was told to wait in the lobby until Alma came for her. But after a couple of hours of waiting the initial excitement wore off. Eliane had first tried to think of what the suprize might be. Her first hope was a fixed accessory, but was quickly dashed when she thought of how busy Alma was, and how impossible it would be to have fixed it in such a short amount of time. The second idea that crossed her mind was the possibility of a long lost relative, but if so, then why would Alma keep her in the lobby for so long? Eliane had tried to listen through the heavy wooden door to pick up potential clues, but the racket caused by the bustling inhabitants made her attempt futile. Succumbing to boredom, Eliane made her way to the window. She refused to leave the hall, in fear she might miss what Alma had in mind for her. Though when Alma finally called the little blue wyngling into the room, what lie before her was something she never imagined.

"Eliane, this is Kindle. She's here to adopt you."

The sentences made Eliane stop short. She stared at the large quad before her. 'Kindle' Alma had called her. She was a beautiful orange color and dazzling white tusks protruded from her maw. Kindle wore a happy smile that faded ever so slightly when Eliane stopped in her tracks. She didn't seem angry, or dangerous, or mean at all; even so Eliane found herself glancing every now and then to the large pink scar that draped across her shoulder.

"Oh" Kindle began to start, her face folding into worry, "I'm sorry if I made you uncomfortable, I supposed you knew about all this..." She waved her arms as if gesturing to the whole room.

Eliane was snapped out of her trance. "Oh no miss! I'm just surprised is all, I didn't know anyone was interested in adopting me all of a sudden..."

Alma sat down at her desk and began to shuffle some papers there. "Well you see dear," She began, "After the fight you found yourself in, I felt it would be irresponsible to leave you here without me being able to keep an eye on you. For your safety I listed you up for adoption. It was quite wonderful really, Kindle here was one of 6 Wyngro hoping to add you to there family. But after some consideration I decided that she'd be the best caretaker for such a special wyngling such as yourself."

Eliane didn't know what to feel. Happy for this generous gro's kindness, flustered that so many gro's cared for her, upset that Alma thought without constant supervision Eliane would be an easy target, or sad that she had to leave the Nook. She decided to go with the first option.

Eliane donned a bright smile as Kindle motioned for her to come closer.

"When I saw the flyer Alma had posted around town I just knew I had to help you somehow! I live out in the woods with my girlfriend and kids! There's plenty of places to explore and me and my boys often go out hiking and adventuring together! You're gonna love it, living with me and April, and you'll have two wonderful brothers to call your own! That is-" Kindle held out her hand towards Eliane. "If you want to be a part of it."

Eliane smiled back at the quad in front of her. A caring smile that held immense gratitude and joy. She gently placed her claws in the other's hand. "I would love to." Eliane gulped, eyes shining with complete happiness.

Kindle returned Eliane a genuine smile of her own. "Welcome to the family Eliane." Kindle said before gently snoot booping Eliane's head.
