The icicles tie in with Daisy's strongest power, Permafrost. It basically freezes everything around her, the result of which can be seen here. The icicles were merely meant as a way to tell that it just got really, really cold.

As for details, most of it depend on my mood, what I want to portray in the image, and how much effort it will cost me to make it.

I just needed a victim or three to prove Daisy's potential. I dislike the RRB most out of all the PPG enemies (the vast number of fangirls are partially to blame for that), so it was only logical that I used them as guinea pigs.

She has a few very powerful moves, which (when used after another) will weaken her opponent drastically. The combination Avalanche, Permafrost+Hibernation (linked moves) and finally Kiss of Death (which has a different effect now) is enough to kill even her most powerful opponent. If she starts with Freeze Mist, she has the upper hand (as that will make her invisible to the enemy, while she can see them).

The only reason she looks like this is because she never starts an attack herself, even if she can clearly see her enemy, so the Boys managed to get a couple of cheap shots in before she could do any damage to them herself.

In theory, Daisy could've easily been defeated (even killed) before she could've landed any punches herself, the Boys just became cocky and started celebrating when they had her knocked out, just like they did when they knocked the PPG out in the Boys' debut episode. That mistake cost them their lives the first time and it cost them again this time around.

Bottom line: if you want to get beat Daisy, make sure you do it immediately and thoroughly, as she can take advantage of the slightest mistake and gain the upper hand very quick.

I see. Sounds logical. Wow, you've thought about her moves and strategies so thoroughly and in such little details, it is most impressive! = D
That's a good obesrvation there - the RRBs should be more careful with their opponents and not get so easily distracted until they're absolutely certain that they've won.

I did that because I intended her to perform in a tournament, but the graphics guy I was working with quit on me and the project has been put on hold for an indefinite period of time since October 2005...

I already had a lot of moves (Avalanche is the only new one), so I had to figure out how she would use them. However, considering the fact that she has moves that can kill if she gets the chance to use them (Permafrost+Hibernation combined with Kiss of Death = instant death for any opponent), I had to put limitations on them in order to not make her some type of invincible character, so I came up with the idea that some moves can only be done once per battle and that she rarely attacks on her own (except when her family is held hostage).

Cool, I really like the fact that you tried to make her realistic (as a cartoon character) and not one of those invincible ultimate wonderful OC's.. >.< (I've come across some like that). So I mean thinking of weaknesses is a really strong point of you.
But the other thing you said - man, that sucks! To be promised a good part from a project and then to be so rudely cut out! But the good side is that you have now developed for yourself a full character with all her info - abilities, story, etc. There's always a good side to things.

Yes, that pic is what inspired this, though I got the actual pose from the inside of the booklet of Iced Earth's The Glorious Burden album, in which a drawing of an American soldier from the War of Independence can be seen.

I need to look into perspectives more, I can never get that to look right...

And I see the problem with the eyes: the highlight of her left eye (right for the viewer) is slightly off-center.
