By the way, those four fanfictions you wrote? "The Big Test" can still be found on your fanfiction.net account, but the website where you posted the other three, "The Ice Princess", "Dark Past", and that Powerpunk story disappeared. Can you remember what happened? 

And were you aware of any implications about your author surrogate being in love with a kindergartner? Was "Dark Past" semi-biographical? If not, what was the inspiration, if there was any in particular?

All the forums I know they were hosted on shut down over time, hence why TBT is the only story left that is still easily accessible. I might have the rest backed up somewhere, but I don't care enough about them anymore to go look for them.

As for the whole 'self-insert character falling in love with a little girl' thing, that was (ironically enough) met with less scorn then when I revealed Daisy to be their child. Now, people making OCs 'their' children was already a thing at the time, but I think I was one of the first (if not THE first) who came out in the open with that. I actually think that this is what made me write the first two fics and what eventually turned Daisy into a recurring character.

A Dark Past wasn't a story I ever intended to write. This was around the time where I had just created Samantha, and someone asked me to write a story featuring her. I accepted the challenge, but it eventually turned into a backstory about my self-insert and I think I only briefly delved into Sam's backstory. And no, the story isn't based on anything. I merely threw together some stuff I though would look cool and built a story around it.

The reason I ask is because back in 2007, I found one such forum where all four fanfics were accessible and I did read them. But to reply about "A Dark Past": what made me ask was beforehand, I read your list of interests on your deviantID saying you were into things like chemistry, and in "A Dark Past", Mike is revealed to originally be a member of a scientist team experimenting with Chemical X. I was curious if that was based on some traumatic experience you may have had that I never bothered to read in, like, your journal, or if "Agent Orange" was named after some real-life science corporation. The imagery you described in how the experiment went awry I found hard to visualize within "The Powerpuff Girls"'s visual aesthetic, and I was equally curious about it taking any inspriation from any hardcore science fiction movie or whatnot. If only I had the best comparison for that scene... 
So, what was the "stuff you threw together" for the story exactly, if you can remember? 

To reply about your self-insert character and Blossom's relationship: tell the truth: were you, a grown man, in real life, actually hot for Blossom?

P.S. Have you seen "The Powerpuff Girls Rule!" and "Dance Pantsed"? Me, I thought the former worked like a case of "absence made the heart grow fonder" and an equivalent of a high school reunion while on ecstasy, while the latter jumped the shark.

Ah, I see. I suspected you knew a thing or two, since you seemed to know so much, but I guess I misunderstood, so let me answer your questions better.

Question 1: No, I don't have any traumatic experience, nor have I been in an incident similar to as I described in the story. I'm not sure how I came up with it. Maybe I was watching something at the time, and thought ir would be cool to use, but if so, I can't remember what that was.

As for his (nick)name, he is of Dutch origin (I don't think I specified that in the story), and the Dutch Royal Family's color is orange, so that's one explanation.

Question 2: If you must know, yes, I did have a crush on Blossom. However, the primary reason I started pairing my character with her was mostly out of protest against the PPG x RRB pairings that ticked me off back in the day. Not that I honestly thought he would be a better match for her, but it was more a case of "anyone but them", as far as I was concerned. I learned that this proved to be an effective way to channel my love for Blossom, so I stuck with it, and the rest came as I rolled with it.


Question 3: Yes, and yes. As I mentioned in an earlier journal, I loved the 10th anniversary special, and was the first time I truly thought "welcome back, Girls" and raised hope that we'd get more down the line. So, when a revival of the franchise was announced, I was ecstatic. However, then the first images of the new art style was leaked, and my worst fear came true when I finally got to saw it. The franchise is dead for all I care now.
