Description
One of the longest-drawn picture in my life, about 9-10 hours.Federation's aerial cruiser with 35.5cm big gun. the size of gun is really large on this planet.
This ship is built in 25 years ago and recently modernized. Due to it's old body, no one know how many times she can withstand shock of firing.
I got inspiration from IJN Matsushima, that fought against Imperial Chinese battleship.

For such an ordinary ship (compared to the rest of your series), I don't know why this is my favorite vessel you've made so far. Maybe it's because of the inspiration from from real-world vessels. It still doesn't matter though, because this is a very well done piece of art and your hard work definitely shows.

Well, time to start sending job applications into the Isotx, the guys who made the Iron Grip series, because those 9-10 hours seriously paid off.
2 questions though: Are the guns in the middle of the ship supposed to rotate, or are they fixed cannons?
And are there any guns on the underbelly of the ship?

those 2 guns that looks like torpedo launcher?
They are not fixed and can rotate but the rotation speed is really slow because it is man-powered!
it launches wired-manual anti aerial ship rockets.

I see... It's just the placement that makes it look kind of locked in place without much room to turn... But I digress. Looks awesome xD

Again a wonderfull picture! But why is the big gun on the back of the ship? It seems like this ship is meant for protecting not attacking or for flying away and shooting down everything on your back.

thanks.Β there is two reasons.
first reason is it looks cool, i'm not interested in "just-cool-ship". it is easy to draw a ship with massive guns but its too simple
cuz we can find such a battleship easily on dA!
i wanted to draw a old-fashioned ship with latest big gun. hahaΒ
second one is the design of this ship is based on real-existed ship. you can read some articles on wikipedia. she has maingun at rear.
