"Please stop, sir, this is not training at all!!""You feared huh!?"
"No sir, I mean this is totally ridiculous!"
"YES that's right, this war is ridiculous! We are fighting each other for over 100 years! So I don't want you die in such a meaningless war!!"

The politicians makes the wars, the regular people fight and die for them so he better get with the superb training they are giving him or he might be on the short endΒ in combat.

Ok, that is really funy.
Took me a bit to realise they are training a would-be pilot. At first I thought this was a gunner under training.

Where have I seen this kind of thing before? Oh, well. I guess I'll just have to stick with laughing for now.

Yeah... thisΒ can't end well... but if you survive the training, then actual combat will be a breeze!

Ha!
It's like the WWII rollercoasters they used training bomber gunners.Β That's fantastic!

A neighbor of mine had one of the BB shooting 'machine guns' for the bomber gunnery training.Β He explained there were little gliders involved, and this was carried out in airplane hangars.Β He said they had to put magnets on the belly of the jeep to pick up the BBs otherwise it would get really slippery after a while.

Driving backwards so the pilot trainee faces in driving direction.
That stick holds a practice target and the trainee should try to aim at it.
Problem is that 2 dimensional practice isnΒ΄t worth much when it comes to 3 dimensional combat.

ItΒ΄s a double-edged sword: how well is the trainee able to adapt the 2dimensional training to the actual 3 dimensional combat?
In the best case, the trainee can, in the worst case they try to fight on a 2 dimensional plane and gets chewed up by the enemy.
But you are right as a general rule and as a basis for further 3D training.

probably they use such a method of training because using actual planes is expensive or the planes themselves are not that reliable to use.
but yeah, such method is extremely limited, but at least can give a more practical ideia on how to do basic things like how to aim on a plane.
