I want Maria back and before you say anything it won't ruin the impact of her death or at least not for me because it is already depressing and heart breaking as it is and plus newcomers to Sonic wouldn't know about Maria's death in the first place so if they play Sonic Adventure 2 battle the death of Maria would still have an impact even if they bring Maria back I know it wouldn't ruin the impact of her death. Her death was one of the most tear wrenching and heart crushing deaths I've seen by far in a video game ever and that is saying a lot coming from a Sonic game since hardly any character dies in a Sonic game......In my opinion there would still be the impact of her death but it would also give a blissful reunion two best friends that had their friendship blasted away by the cruel hands of fate. It would be a beautiful and bittersweet master piece, if there were a game about Maria getting brought back to life...it would be a heart warming master piece and no doubt probably one of the best Sonic games if they execute it right!

She is dead and the probability of her coming back from the dead is tiny and people like you should not be hoping for her to come back. For a character to be resurrected in the Sonicverse, the seven Chaos Emeralds and the deceased person's corpse are needed. Maria died fifty years before the Sonic games so, unless her body has been preserved, she will be in a horrible state unfit for bringing back.
Sonic's death was pointless and Mephiles could have just cut up some onions in front of Elise.
Also, stop whining. Shadow stopped being angsty at the end of Shadow the Hedgehog. He was not depressed. Depression is a chemical imbalance of the brain, Shadow was just being emo.
