"Now look here," Sonic snarled. "I don't get what you are doing, and I don't care either. And I'm sure it's the same way with you. But we are going to that planet right now to stop him. NOW."
Shadow glared back in icy silence.Β
"Shadow." Sonic hissed. "I'm talking to you." His clutch tightened fiercely, his solid green eyes flashed with frustration and anger.
Shadow mentally swore. After years upon years of not even the smallest of fights with Sonic, he had forgotten just how much of a challenge he was to go up against. Still, he held his ground.
"Why in all the universe do you think I would agree to that?" He replied. "What makes you think I care?"
"Don'tΒ care." Sonic shot. "I don't need your feelings on this. I don't need your feelings on anything."Β
"Then why would I -"
"Do you even understand what is at hand here?" Sonic looked as if he would really like it if he was strangling him. "Metal will destroy everything. Everything."
Shadow still had a look of "And?" on his face.
"You know what Emerl had? Metal found a way inside of the streamline his info was floating in and gained all of that.Β Plus even more, on that planet. He blocked it with a force so strong it requires two emeralds. The only ones left we have. And one person can't do it alone." He interrupted Shadow's protest by his last sentence. "A person needs to be circling the force with one emerald and the other needs to focus his on the center of barrier."
"I still don't see why I should care."
Sonic looked as if he would burst of rage, his mouth ready to roar, when the universe they knew turned to white, and an ear-ripping explosion sounded.
