This is a closeup of the piece I'm working on for practice:--
Just practicing, this is my first attempt painting realistically. Heh, I am looking at tutorials on how to paint hair because it isn't looking so great
Also, had some trouble getting the skin tones right. Any advice would be awesome!I'm referencing a great stock photo [link] from
I was armed with:
Wacom Intuos 5 Tablet

Really nice work, I think being more bold with more shadows and highlights may give it more realism

In my opinion the hair looks already pretty good. Maybe it just lacks some detail like free flying strands etc

the only problem is see is at the top of the head were the hair is but overall this is awsome,
