Commissioned illustration forThere is nothing that could stop Lor from reading the final chapter of his book!
It started as a more lavender-purple scene but in the end the flowersturned out blue to match the characters much better
I hope you'll enjoy the artwork. Full size and WIPs avaiable on my patreon. Vanguary is keeping me busy this month, next I will maybe finally open my commissions again, so stay tuned if you're interested (:big thanks to who so kindly helped me with posing the characters by sending me some photos of herself and her awesome calm mare

Lovely, lovely art. These two have so much character and expressiveness to them.
Also, I hope you don’t mind me asking for a price estimate on a commission like this. I checked your Weebly, and while I could find examples, I couldn’t easily find prices. Maybe that’s because I’m on mobile though—things always get cropped out.

I'm totally in love, that's for sure. The whole scenery is simply beautiful. Still I'm glad you had your own ideas with the background cause it's just better than the first version. The blurred flowers in the foreground are awesome and perfectly fitting, as well as all the blue flowers, hehe
The whole perspective and how the road's winding through the plains is wonderful.
You did a very good job on catching the warm summer-like feeling. And as you said, it makes the gray winter go away a little bit.
Both characters are perfectly caught! I can look at the picture and say - yes, it's them, just like they are. Nachtschatten was already an easy exercise for you 
His mane, tail and pasterns are so wonderfully fluffy! *^*
What I didn't say til now - I -love- the way you did Lor's hair. The colour, the silky shine, it's so beautiful. It caught my eye from the very beginning and still I can't stop looking at it
Also I really like his pose (again it was a good thing you changed my original idea in a way it looks even better).

My friend who made the photos says you need really a lot of trust to the horse to do that pose or to read a book like that!
