Description
Commission forHer handsome character Nazalian summoning dark ents for his service. By his side is his fresian friend, stallion named Inmenso.
You maybe remember my other arts for Ilithye - with girls who were Orphaïms of different elements? Our Nazalian here is completely opposite of them - he is an Anarphim, one who feed on his element, who destroy it, while Orphaïms peacefully share their powers with their elements.
PS: does this look a bit like a book cover for you? Main characters on the right should made a nice cover while evil ents should fit for the last page ^^

Dark ents! They remind me of "dead trees" - my own concept of evil ents, haha. Very well done, and yes, it does look like a book cover.

First of all, I have a great respect for your backgrounds--you definitely don't slack off when it comes to the buckle-down-and-paint details.
I understand that this project is probably already done and dusted for you, so I would just pat yourself on the back for that alone...you have a lot more self-motivation than many. xD As far as a book cover goes, you are on the right track. This looks to be about the right size and for a typical fantasy/sci-fi novel. Having a villain on a "cover" piece is a tad unusual, but I tend to like it. 
This is really all just minutia relating to book illustration in general, for which I am a huge nerd and probably very annoying (sorry) xD I would like to say that as a piece of art in and of itself, this is really great, and I admire your ability to get that smooth shading without letting it look too airbrushed--or too digital for that matter!
I do hope you pursue more "book" projects; this is really a beautiful entry into that kind of thing.

Thank you very much for such detailed comment and I am glad that you generally like the art.. but dear, it was not intended to be a book cover ^^ It only remind me of a cover art, after it was done.
For example there is another art that is a cover, where I have everything separated 50/50 with empty center (it looks kinda off as a typical artwork, but will look well for a cover)

First of all, your artpiece is totally amazing, and suits the orphaïm serie very much !!! You painted the dark side of it. You are perfect to represent the scene as Ilithye desires it ^^
Then, yes it will be a great book cover. and that's why I am so happy ! When Ilithye told me "maybe i should print my books ?"
I answered "oh yes ! yes do it !! And Aomori's paintings done for your commissions will be perfect as covers !!! It will be a magnificent serie !!!"

I struggled with colors for so long, that it's great to hear that you like the result! ^_^ I did various versions of the bg - with the sky above trees, with mountains or even with the visible horizon behind the characters. Each one with different set of colors. Only deciding what version should I use took me couple of days

Nazalian is one of the main character, he is a protagonist even if in this scene he is in the dark side

It turned out amazing. I love how you have done the dark ents. The yellow light added to them adds to the fact that they have been summoned. ^^
May i ask what the shadow is in the trees? Is it coming from Nazalian or is it another ent. Sorry if this offends you, im just curious.

It took me quite a time to get back to this comment of yours (big apologies from me!) but I would love to answer your question now. Nazalian is summoning ents by transmuting normal forest. It changes healthy trees into wicked, dead ones, I added the effect of dark grass and some cracks on the ground and this yellow shine from beneath them
