I been talkin about a new idea for L4D, and here it is: The survivors were known to be heading for the Florida Keys. But what if they weren't the only ones with the idea? What if the military set up a research base in the Keys with the goal of finding a cure? And then what if this cure developed into a super-strain of the infection virus, capable of mutating even the survivors? That is the premise behind my campaign, which I'm calling: PARADISE LOST.
You play as one of four soldiers sent to retake the base and recover the research data, but as soon as you land, you find the island facility overrun with super-versions of special and normal infected, in addition to the tragic news that the new superstrain can even mutate the supposedly immune 'carriers'. The only person with a hope of finding a proper cure is Dr Kathleen Grayson, a doctor stranded somewhere in the deepest bowels of the lab. But first, you'll have to find your way through the facility itself, now heavily damaged, and guarded by the first unlucky 7 test subjects. Your mission: Find Dr Grayson, recover the research data, and eliminate the carriers of the superstrain. The fate of mankind rests with you. Paradise is lost. Find it again.
