It's an entry for a contest on Instagram. Also a new oc of mine.

So here's Opal. Opal is a demon that was mostly summoned for petty things and so the consequences of her actions would usually be more highly annoying than life ruining. However with time the jobs got harder and she was more and more exhausted. One of those situations ended up with a broken horn and a magical scar in form of discolored hair. That was her tipping point. She finally realised the negative energy she was gathering during her missions couldn't keep her going for much longer. She brought it up to her higher ups and let's say she wasn't nice about it. So they decided that maybe sending her to Earth would humble her, she went along with it.
Opal, disguised as a human, ended up on Earth alone. Taking shelter in an abandoned building, she tried figuring out her next step. And that's where one day she met Rosemary. A youtuber making videos on supposedly haunted places. After the initial shock they somehow started talking. Opal told how after losing her job and being kicked out of home, she had nowhere to go. Rose, an empathetic person, suggested she could stay at her place in a room she planned to rent out, in exchange for helping out renovating it. Opal with not much choice and pushed by curiosity, agreed. That's how their adventure together begun. With time Opal joined Rose on her channel. More or less openly messing with Rosemary, while keeping her safe from more dangerous beings. As their relationship developed, Opal realised with each day she felt stronger. As it turned out love was more powerful than negative energy.
