I was Chell for Halloween this year, but the heelsprings were kind of hard to walk in, so I almost fell on every kid I tried to give candy to. At least they were laughing!

Heel springs are the things Chell (the girl in the middle) are wearing on her legs that allow her to jump so far and land without injury in the game.

This was not my costume, just my photograph. Seeing the Portal Gun up close it looks like it was homemade with a lot of effort and attention to detail.

You don't know until you try. The first prop you make might not come out the way you want, but you'll learn a lot and be able to use that for the next one!
