Description
Things to do when you're terrible at painting landscapes: PRACTICE! I attempted to paint a fantasy swamp landscape as a warm-up. Took me around 2 hours. It's far from perfect but it's definitely a huge improvement considering the kinds of landscapes that I painted a little more than a year ago.Things I learned: Start out with big shapes, don't think too much, if you're not satisfied: experiment, finish up with a small brush for a few details and: HAVE FUN.

Greetings,
I was wondering if it was alright for me to use this artwork for a banner on a roleplay site called "Animal Jam Clans Wiki"?
I will gratefully provide you complete credit in your username with a link to your DeviantArt profile as I will also not diminish the appearance of the image in any sort of way.
ROLEPLAY SITE: animal-jam-clans-1.wikia.com/w…
If not then I understand!

Hi there,
As long as you give credit and the work is not sold, that is absolutely fine for me.
Happy roleplaying!

Well, you succeeded with this one . Gorgeous mysterious and dark scenery! I love the lights in it and the blurred area in the background!! The only things I miss here, are some characters or animals. Nevertheless, the outcome is pleasant!!

Thank you so much, dear! I was thinking that it might be interesting, if I re-did the piece a couple of times over the next months so maybe there will be characters or animals at some point. Right now I don't feel too comfortable painting all that.
Gotta start learning how to photobash... that would be helpful! :'D

Wow, das sieht echt toll aus! Einerseits düster, aber irgendwie auch gemütlich Das wär ein interessantes Concept-Art für ein Spiel/Film

It looks like a place I'd lik to walk through but not live in - I'd probably get pneumonia or arthritis if I stayed too long - but it looks really cozy at the same time

And imagine the mosquitoes! Ugh...
I'd take that walk with you though! I really, really love those trees. I want one! ^^

OK, I have a great stick that makes mosquitos fly in the opposite direction, we could use that... just remember that we ourselves might want to crawl out of our own skins to avloid the smell. We could use that before we take our walk, I think the swampy scent of decomposing would make our noses rather numb anyway
