I think you chose some great diagonals to play against the usually horizontal natural landscape! The log and the bank on the right side of the photo are almost parallel. The black log? pipe? also connects almost directly with a rock on the left to create a line from one side of the photo to the other.
I also ADORE the rich color! Whatever the pink is (leaves?), it's a great contrast to the greens and browns!
I think you chose a great composition to amp up such a relatively monotone place. It's beautiful there...

This black "pipe" in the background is a trunk. This is a nature reserve and those trees are not removed when they fall down.

Wow! I had hoped it wasn't a huge pipe running right through the middle of the woods, but it was so dark!

grüß dich! nsg teufelsloch bei bayreuth/eckersdorf. wollte ich mir schon länger mal anschauen, heut hab ich das halbwegs gute wetter mal ausgenutzt. teils hochspektakuläre sandsteinfelsen. bin mal gespannt wie es dort aussieht wenn der frühling einzug gehalten hat...

jo, das nsg hat potential! im moment ist die sonne aber halt noch recht flach und die schlucht ist ziemlich steil. man muss mal im sommer abends hin, da könnten die sonnenstrahlen auch bis zum bach vordringen.
