I can never understand, why Ridley Scott decided to make the Space Jockey a giant human.
This vision here is far more interesting.

It doesn't make sense for the "Engineeer" to be THAT similar to us, not even it it was suposed to make us. The original design of an elephantine giant could've worked just as fine.

I mean if what is presentet here, is not a humanoid wearing a "pilot" apparatus,
but instead is the representation of an aliens physiological appearance.
So no humanoid, just pure unaltered alien.

I see what you mean. Although I think that would be kind of weird.
For me it was always clear that the Space jockey was not in some sort bio-mechanical apparatus. Prometheus defiantly failed to make the exploration of that stuff visually interesting though, which is a shame.
