If this was a scene in Prometheus I would have loved it instead of just liking it. Well done.Β

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

Wyverness In reply to fetidmixture [2014-04-19 17:07:21 +0000 UTC]

The aliens are called Xenomorphs

Fucking incredible, you should be a model designer for Ridley scott

jkazanceva [2014-04-14 07:21:11 +0000 UTC]

It is very powerful and beautiful.
To be honest, I do not know, this was not the first Prometheus. The sculpture is made based on the second movie, or book?

This is an amazing piece of work.
Is there any chance of you showing more "in progress" photos or even vids of this or other work. I think a lot of people would be interested in the whole process of creating such fascinating art.

Maxamillion2009 [2014-04-14 02:34:56 +0000 UTC]

Is there a reason why the aliens' bodies look similar to the Engineer's suit?

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 2

Cethard In reply to Maxamillion2009 [2014-04-14 10:58:30 +0000 UTC]

Wouldn't it make sense that when you create a species/weapon, you kind of model it after yourself in some way? Aliens' bodies also match the Promethean(?) architecture. That's how I see it anyway.

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 2

CrwnPrince In reply to Cethard [2015-04-26 15:03:32 +0000 UTC]

Why? During times of war we turn dogs into weapons so dangerousΒ  that they have to be put down at the end of the conflict. So why would the Engineers?

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

Cethard In reply to CrwnPrince [2015-04-27 15:34:49 +0000 UTC]

Perhaps the engineers are more intelligent. Perhaps they have a greater understanding of biological weapons than we do.Β
This is purely speculation

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

CrwnPrince In reply to Cethard [2015-04-28 23:05:26 +0000 UTC]

True... I guess that is why it has the ability to adapt to whatever species it comes into contact with... scary idea if humans biodesigned a Canine to adapt like that. Could you imaging humans 3000 years from now as it loyally follows man across the galaxy? Or any of the other creatures that have attached themselves to humans.. hmmmmmm?

Maxamillion2009 In reply to Cethard [2014-04-14 11:25:08 +0000 UTC]

I never did figure out why the Engineers made the Xenomorphs or Humanity in the first place. Would you know?

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

Cethard In reply to Maxamillion2009 [2014-04-14 20:53:37 +0000 UTC]

I'm not huge on the Aliens' lore, but I'd imagine they wanted to play god. Xenomorphs were designed to be a sort of bio weapon (if memory of Prometheus serves correctly). Now they could also have made the Human's as a sort of testing ground for their weapon. Create a controlled environment to test out the Xenomorphs. This is just what I think anyway. I'm sure if you search around you can find a correct answer XD

Simply superb, I would love to see this in a future Prometheus movie. It has a distinct, dune-esque, sci-fi look for the series separate from the Alien franchise. Keep it up.

I agree with your assessment on the unpainted version. With color this piece is amazing but there is something about the unpainted "raw" piece that transcends.Β  The single color enhances the subtle detail andΒ subtle qualities of this work. It does so in much the same way the Greek statues forced you to appreciate the skill and eye of the sculptor.
