A little fanart for the Spellmonger series by Terry Mancour.Lenodara (Dara) of the Westwood and Frightful.
Her clothes are finer that she is used to wearing or likes to wear and I'd like to fine tune Frightful (supposed to be a silver headed raptor - though most images I have seen do not have silver in the plumage either.)

I see what you mean. I also think that you could improve something there. The lighting is natural, but somehow also boring and the face hardly comes into its own. But the bird's eyes and hair shine beautifully.
But who is completely satisfied with his work? I always have to say: stop! it's enough, finished => otherwise I sit for weeks at a picture.

I rather said, Β that i hardly used the environment tab, couldn't do much with it. I sometimes use HDRI images but even there the fixed perspective and DOF problems annoy me. Despite the much shorter render time without 3D environments, I usually end up doing with it, even if you hardly see anything of it.

Ohh... that turned out so nice. Beautiful idea and even without knowing the series, it looks like they are great characters.
