I love the idea, and the contrast but what I dont like is the really strong sharpness done post process

Thank you. I agree, DeviantArt has a tendency to bump up the sharpness just slightly, which tends to put my photos just over the line of looking nice, into just looking overly-sharpened. Usually I make a less sharpened version to post, but I entirely forgot this time.
