Description
[6/26/08]If you have any questions on how charms are made, including tools and techniques, please view ~Oborochann 's Q&A page: [link]
If you ask me, most of the answers will be the same.
Me and ~AnabellaNoire wanted to try making those little charm animals/things ever since I bought charms from ~Oborochann .
So we went to Michaels arts and craft store, bought some sculpey clay (since none of us had any left), and some paint. They were all on sale, so that was awsome =3.
This is my "first try" batch. I think they turned out pretty well x3. The onigiri (rice ball) is so unoriginal!! but I made one as a test when it came to painting. My mom loves the pig.
I give lots of credit to those who can make those small sculptures and paint them so well! IT'S HARD!! And it's harder for those who dont have that great of a control over the clay and paint. I've played with clay before in class and with paint, so these werent that hard for me.

cool. I havnt ever used the stuff, but I seem to notice a lot of people using it here. I suppose I could look for it one day....but we dont really have a decent-sized craft or art store around town that might carry it.

mmm... sculpy clay's works well with those who can afford to buy one of those giant cauldrons to fire them. Plus it's easy to work with and never dries unless you bake them.
A small individual color pack sells for around $1.50 (USD). I buy mine when Michaels goes on sale and sells them for 99c or 88c.

I'd just go use the high school's kiln , though Im grad, I'm still welcome in the art room.
I dunno if it was sculpty, but I found some colored sculpture stuff in small blocks, the prices werent that nice though o.O.

Premo maybe? Premo's similar to sculpy... though I think it's more expensive. I believe those are slightly harder than the sculpy, i havent used them before.

Of course I think I have some old dollar bills... I could technically put those in an envelope and send it to you... (that is hoping that the price doesn't exceed like, 10 dollars...)

hillokala In reply to apkyo [2007-03-09 17:45:22 +0000 UTC]
it's so light that it probably cant cost more than 5 dollars to send it... really. wrap it in tissue paper, stick a fragile sticker on it and then hope for the best
