Description
The photograph burns through the frame,it mocks me from within.
I cannot continue going;
I wouldn't know where to begin.
The clock keeps on ticking,
it's gears clicking inside.
Yet time seems to have stopped,
but there's no where to hide.
I cannot keep on dreaming
of a time I cannot know.
Those visions seem to haunt me,
like that blinding, winter snow.
But something keeps pulling
on your favorite blue dress.
It seems our only momento
needs me to button her purple vest.
Why does the world keep going
when you cannot be here?
How do they keep going with
so much out there to fear?
I don't know how they do it,
but life's a mystery.
I guess I must move on now,
but I'll cherish your memory.

I don't know if you've ever read The Time Traveler's Wife, but your poem reminded me of it a good deal. This poem is simple, yet it resonates. The second verse especially seems to stand out. I really enjoyed reading it.
P.S. I like the font.
