And the large eyes show the style of the artist, and possibly signal the fact that it might be closer to being a kitten, rather than a full-grown cat. I say this because kittens' eyes look larger than adult cats' eyes. So, if you're griping about it, please think about this. ono

You shouldn't draw their irises super-impossibly dilated. I suppose the normal human response is to think they look cute, but to me, they just look heavily drugged.

I think the eyes being that large is unique and possibly a good signature for this particular artist. Makes it recognisable

Then YOU shouldn't draw the eyes heavily dilated if you were to draw a cat. Your opinion doesn't have an effect on how they SHOULD be drawn. People can draw any way they want.

It's pretty obvious to me, I don't understand why it it isn't to you. The real question to me is, why do you think it is adorable for their irises to be dilated beyond all feasible limits? To me, it's kind of like if it had its mouth mechanically pried open super-wide, when I see it, it makes me cringe.
