polished one of the study paintings of a black panthera! before jumping into subject of black pantheras I had a quite misleading knowledge about their color ( aka dark pigment ) that there is no such thing as fully black pantheras or even pumas o_oFull HD WALLPAPER version is available on my Patreon!

Quite interesting! A "panther" is really a leopard or jaguar with melanism (A thing when their skin or hair has too much pigment) The real panther is a mountain lion-like cat that lives in Florida.

Why do I find the left eye (the right one the picture) so satisfying to look at, I think it is that it looks like my cat when she is squinting

I think the black panthers's real colour may be (very) dark brown
All the black cats I saw when the sunlight was brightly lighting them, from behind, gave their fur a beautiful glowing dark brown-golden halo surrounding their sillhouette
And their are actually close relatives to panthers.... Even closer than humans and cimpanzees are (and we humans share 95% of our DNA with cimpanzees)
Therefore (being a doctor) I presume the cats' and black panthers' D. N. A must be about 95%or more the same... And the colour would follow most likely
And I saw a lot of black cats 
... Only a scientific info if it would help... But.... In art.. Anything works... So making a cat look even blue wouldn't be a problem... On the contrary... It would be even more fantasy-like

You know.. I know that you may not reply to this, but Apofiss, I've been with you since I was younger. Looking at all your pictures.. and wishing that I had a DeviantArt Account. Now that I'm older, I think it's safe to say that I could favorite ALL of them! I will forever love your art, and you're very better then me. I liked your art so much that I even tried creating those black and white cats. I don't know what their names were but.. I gave them names! Since Yin and Yang is black and white, I chose their names to that. And even after years, I could recognize your artwork, and I hope you are having a wonderful new year.

This is Beautiful! Panthers are beautiful and you did them justice. Her eyes are gorgeous and have an ethereal feel to me. I also love the texture of the painting, especially around the nose. Great job!
