I thought this was an ordinary King Cheetah drawing, but now I see who it is. So awesome how you did a realistic display of her

It's curious how many people don't understand why she seems to have stripes rather than spots. Some believe that was a mistake or to make her design much simpler. I guess not many people know what a king cheetah is.

I know, at first I thought that but when I learned about the king cheetah's existance I was like WOOOW now everything makes sense
STILL I hate that in the show she lacks the black stripes that go from the eyes to the mouth (I mean these are a signature characteristic the species have) and I think she is missing a few spots.

Well, they had to make it as simple as possible. Remember that animation isn't easy, and if they want to keep up with a schedule, they have to do it as fast as they can, which is why some designs seem incomplete. Tough you're right, they should've added the eye stripes at least. You know there's an African legend that says that those stripes are originally from a mother cheetah that lost her cubs and cried so hard that they stained her? I've always been fascinated with Africa and it's legends, but that one is the one I remember the most. So profound.

it is truly profound, wow.
yeah I know but the eye stripes should be there
its like an elephant without big ears
the rest I understand but the eye stripes...
its just that is the thing I like the most about cheetahs
and it kind of upsets me because the kids won't know how a cheetah is supposed to look
I mean when people confuse them with leopards the way you tell them to diferenciate them is with the eye stripes
...it's not like they will change it anyway

(I still can't stop thinking about the legend, ITS SO COOL)

Yeah, I know it's frustrating. That's a very unique feature among cheetahs and it's sad that they skipped it. Perhaps they tried it and didn't like how she looked? Nevertheless, one should learn to overlook those details and just enjoy the series as it is, no matter mow many flaws it has. That's how it is. So tell me, do people really confuse cheetahs with leopards? That's a shocker. They're quite different in appearance, and their spots are not the same at all

I never knew that. Anyway, I'm glad you enjoy the legend. You know what they say, you learn something new every day. I've heard many more, but that's the only one I always remember well. When it comes to mothers, there's always an admirable tale about them. And not only that one, Africa has so many great stories. Their culture is just so interesting, I intend to learn as much as I can from it

It would be better if you note me tho.

It was nice talking to you
