Just another Spirit Stallion of the Cimarron sketch. i don't really like how this one turned out.Drawn in color pencil.

I know this would be a dumb idea but, what would be done to allow spirit be be tacked up with a black English saddle and bridle, and be allowed to be ridden. Gaining his trust, and being patient and gentle seems like the smartest idea.

dude this is amazing! spirit is my fav movie of all time! ur really gr8! i would love to know ur opinion about my writing (I'm new to Deviant art) my first piece is why Lily changed her mind of the Harry Potter, if you like check it out but ill warn u now that my second is much better because i wasn't as nervous or pressured when i wrote it. It looks great
but you need some light on the horse to be able to see where the light source is coming from.
And you to make the hair on the tail more flowy.

I was wondering...How do you color it? (I don't know how to say it xD)
How do you fill it in with colors (or something, really dunno how to say it, hope you understand)
I'm only using a 6B pencil, because I simply can't fill something in color pencils. I made some with color pencils, but they weren't as good as this one.
Can you pleeeease help me? (A)

Well, i start with the shadows, like under his belly and all the other areas that might have a shadow on it and shade it with a dark brown lightly. Then i go back over with the yellow color and press hard to create a very solid color so none of the white paper shows through. Then i go over with white to add some highlights. Then after that just do the mane/tail and his legs with a dark brown and press hard like you did with the yellow. You can add some shadows and highlights by adding black and white to his legs and hair if you want. I hope this helps!
