Description
In the year 2029, the Mushroom Kingdom lays in ruins. KoopaNet wages war against the few remaining Toads who struggle to survive in the scorched ruins of their once great cities.

Toad Connor, the wise leader of the Mushroom Resistance, orders an assault on the Koopa Fortress housing the main KoopaNet servers.

Sensing imminent destruction, KoopaNet sends a liquid fungi cybernetic infiltration unit back to the year 1990, the year of the Third Great Mushroom War. Its mission is to terminate the young Toad Connor along with his mother, the great warrior Princess Peach Connor.

Toad Connor manages to send a cybernetic soldier of his own back to 1990 to serve as a protector to his child self and his mother.

The soldier is an SMB-85, living tissue over a hyper-fungi combat chassis. Very tough.

The final battle between the forces of Mushroomkind and the dark armies of KoopaNet would not be fought in the future.

It would be fought here, in our present.
