Description
I am a mechanical engineer by education, and seeing this structure I was absolutely astounded by the beauty and complexity of this engineering marvel. It was calculated without computers!Eiffel Tower fragment. Paris, April 2011.

This photo had much stronger contrast originally, as it was captured by the camera. I deliberately pulled up some very deep shadows in order to get more details in dark areas. I like it much better the way it is now. It could also well be the issue of my monitor calibration (or rather lack of), maybe you see this differently. Thanks for your comment!
