Description This is a "light sculpture" called "Multiverse" by American artist Leo Villareal, which was installed recently in the concourse between East and West wings of the National Gallery of Art in Washington DC. It contains thousands of LED lights controlled by a computer.

It is SO cool in there. I remember when my tour group visited, we kept trying to walk backward on the moving sidewalk in the tunnel, just so we could stay inside and admire its beauty and lightshows for longer! It's so wonderful; and this image definitely captures the awe one feels when they enter such an impressive show. Amazing photo, amazing sculpture.
