SMITE LORE (skip if you're not interested):

"You may know of myths and legends of the great King Arthur. But what do you know of the hands that set those legends into motion? Are they those of a prophet? a demon? or perhaps just a remarkable man. Whichever he may be, the power he wields is not a question.

  The great wizard Merlin has woven his magics and cunning in service of great rumors. Assuring victories and war, and foretelling he who had come to rule all Kings. Through a vision of clashing dragons, he foretold the son of Uther, to be this great King. As the dragon comet blazed across the sky, Merlin took his place at Uther's side, naming him Pendragon.

  A name his son would make known to all the world. Standing against the marauding barbarian hordes from across the sea. Merlin remained steadfast at Uther's side, until he was claimed in battle. But even from grim ends can hope spring anew. For Uther's son, now ascends to the throne.

  Merlin's many and mysterious works culminating in the rise of the greatest king of all time."

Oooh, a GIF! While not originally planned, I just couldn't resist giving the most famous wizard of all time some magic to play with. It's really a simple cosmetic change (I only re-colored the outer lines of the hands) and a sphere of power. Just a fun little detail to this otherwise generic looking magician.

I must admit, this is not how I (and I think many with me) would have pictured Merlin. When I think Merlin, I think old man with a loooong gray beard... but this looks cool too :3 I wasn't super pleased with how everything was not working exactly as I wanted it (besides, my speakers were really bugging me that day..), so I might have missed a detail or two, but overall I think the end result looks pretty swell.

Luckily for me, this is the last SMITE character to ever be added to the game. Phew, what a relief.

*sigh* I know... Jormungandr... yay.... Well, I've seen his reveal and he isn't super large (I tend to go for regular form, not Ult-attack form in all SMITE characters, so..), and you really only see a neck and head.. Shouldn't be too tough.. probably.. maybe... We'll see. After that it's either Horus or Set that I will work on, so.. That could be interesting!
