UPDATE: I changed her name and the background of the ref so it's not that ugly weird purple anymore! Yay! And I also got rid of the picture of the old design.

Hi guys, this is Anthropos, and I like her a lot. Despite the name of this post, she has nothing to do with Sunbeam Light Show Flower Seed except the placement of her white and red halves. Sunbeam Light Show Flower Seed is an excellent song, though. You should listen to it.

Note: she has a sort of mohawk and a set of long blue spikes at the base of her tail that I couldn’t include on the ref because it’d look weird. Her tail is also technically longer than seen here.

Anthropos was a sona of mine back in 2020. You can see her first design on the ref, but I also have a very underwhelming redesign from 2021 that I’m not going to bother with linking because it sucks, and I spelled her name wrong on it. What’s going on with the name? Reasonable question. It’s short for Anthropomorphic Aposterous because she’s the most memorable of my two (?) anthropomorphic sonas.

She’s not my least favourite anymore. I actually really enjoy drawing her now that I’ve redesigned her properly (I started this ref about two days ago, but I’ve had a version of the new design sitting around for almost two weeks).

The original design was just a red tabby-and-white cat with four ears and some horns. The demon aspect was supposed to be there since the beginning, but if you looked at the original without knowing about it, I highly doubt you’d notice. This redesign aimed to change that. I think it worked. I love this version. The reds are darker, and it has a white-and-grey, vaguely angelic half (including the wings on the tail). I like the new palette because it partly reminds me of the Spirit Phone album cover, which is fitting since I first made her when I was still really into Lemon Demon. She’s got long sabre teeth and upward-pointing horns. And the tail-wings. She’s also not tabby anymore, but instead a colourpoint, which was an accident but looks cool. Making things colourpoint is a bad design habit of mine lol. The leotard is just so I don’t have to make her naked (naked anthros sometimes make me uncomfortable), but I imagine she’d probably wear something like it most of the time. Probably with pants. Maybe a skirt. Who knows?

That’s all the stuff I’ve thought of so far. This ref might be changed a bit in the coming hours or days, as I keep forgetting stuff (I’ve already changed the main file about five times). I might even make a fully naked version for torso pattern reference, although I'd probably not post it here for reasons that I hope are obvious. Anyway, thank you for reading my rant. I'm going to vanish, probably, but I've got a few more posts that I'll schedule to come out every couple of days.
