Wheee! I love military stuff!

The Chobham Armour on the Abrams is doubtlessly one of the, if not the, most resilient of all conventional amours to date. However, any decent HEAT round will still have a very good chance to penetrate the side or back armour. And considering that a RPG can cost as little as $10 USD...
Really, the age of the heavily armored tank is long over. It would be better to have tanks armored enough to withstand sustained .50cal DU, with lighter, better-penetrating weapons(mm does not equate to power; the 75mm gun on the WWII Panther had better performance than the 88mm on the Tiger). The hovertank I have in my gallery is derivative of a few dozen sketches a have on paper, but my scanner is crap.

The Raptors are in service already, and they're a pretty good interceptor. I think the current Russian equivalent is the Sukhoi Su-35, and the Chinese equivalent the J-10. The F-35 JSF is crap, though. It's slower, less maneuverable, highly visible to radar, IR, optical, etc. It's designed to take on every role, and therefore do all of them badly. The currently in-design fighter across the pacific is the Su-45, which is slated to have swept-foward wings, Hypersonic speeds and possibly Hypercruise(remember, I'm doing this from memory), 15 hardpoints, thrust vectoring, and that's it I think.

The US Navy is still pretty much the most powerful one, I think, but really all that matters are the SSBNs and their SLBMs. Russia has them, China has them, UK has them, France probably has them...
Meanwhile, the Army has already proved that it's incompetence at occupying territories surpasses that of Imperial Japan.(Iraq, 2003-present, lol)

As for small arms, Calico guns are decent; they come in 9mm, .22, and some other caliber, and have 50/100 round magazines, so they're good for suppression. And the M82/A1 is one of the best sniper rifles around. Meanwhile the HK MP5 is as good a SMG as ever, and the positively ancient Tokarev TT-33 is still one of the most reliable pistols around, and it comes in both 9mm and 7.62mm.
I take no responsibility for damage incurred by use or misuse of this information and make no promises as to its accuracy.

Why am I even talking about this?

You're talking about it because you're... wait are you a guy?

I think the reason why we suck at occupying territories is because we want them to think they need us, not to force them to need us

Yes, I am.

The US tries to force them to need you, then make them think they need you, then tries to go in.

Unfortunately, the U.S. does those things with terrible synchronization.

Meanwhile, the Japanese in '35 decided that they needed the land, so they invaded. At least they didn't try to lie their way out of everything.

In the States the prayer to God isn't as strongly held anymore. Still a large majority still do it, but not as strong.

Imagine how my mom, someone who lived through the cultural revolution, felt when she saw me doing the pledge of allegiance in Kindergarten. It's all done as a form of brainwashing (call it the wrong term if you want) to make people hold up the nation, state, or current political party or figurehead/leader. Of course one can argue that we left out a lot of phrases that would make it more evident, the general effect is still there.

Very powerful shot! Mr. Mao is literally dominating the picture, but it's interesting to see the things going on under the gate (once you've figured out those are gates, though several walls). The flat lighting makes it look like a surrealistic painting. Great work!
