It had been a long night, with a sprinkle of nightmares here and there, along with a side of perpetual anxiety. That wasn't uncommon. Tossing and re-adjusting throughout the night was just something Anthony found himself doing often. However, with one sleepy movement, there was a sensation of pain that woke him up immediately. Sitting straight up in bed, it felt like something on his back was.. hurting. But not in a way he'd ever felt before. Even moreso everything was... quiet. Quiet? He forgot his initial panic and paused, closing his eyes. There was almost nothing now.. No emotions he could sense, and no sounds picked up by his sensitive feelers and audino ears. For a second, he wondered if he was home, however, his surroundings quickly dashed that hope.
Anthony tenderly began to reach for his back, wondering if he had pulled a muscle or something. His arms felt heavier,, and,, larger? Worried about what might be happening, he quickly got to his feet and walked over to turn on a light, before making his way to the mirror. For a moment, there wasn't anything wrong. And then suddenly, there was. Anthony didn't make the conscious choice to practically shout in shock, quickly putting both hands over his mouth in an effort to stifle himself as he stared into the mirror. He could feel his face growing hotter by the second, and prayed he hadn't woken anyone else up.
"Oh no.."
He looked down at his arms and the new blades found there. They were so big,, and concealed his hands.
"Oh no no no.."

How would he get dressed? How could he assemble medical kits and assist patients like this? Would he even be able to pour coffee without spilling it? What if he needed help- Who was there to ask?? He'd only spoken to a few people outside of the clinic, and they probably didn't think anything of him anyway... Not to mention this was probably the most form-fitting thing he'd ever worn.. And were those.. wings??

Already he was trying not to panic, forcing himself to take a few deep breaths to assess the situation. Looking back into mirror in a slightly calmer state- just enough to think rationally, Anthony was intrigued by the color of his eyes. Something about them was.. enthralling. And his hair; longer, a darker pink.. and the colors there.. Was there something 'beautiful' about them..? And the peace that he felt, being left alone to his thoughts, without tiny noises and the emotions of others to constantly deal with... in this moment, it was almost nice.

Maybe this wasn't entirely terrible. Maybe he could figure things out.. Hopefully...
