Levi watched as her body twisted through the rainy forest, skillfully jumping between branches. Her [h/l] [h/c] clung to her wet face, and the man could have sworn she was smiling. He tore his grey eyes away for a moment to swing at a nearby titan. There had been more of them then the expedition had been expecting, and it was looking like more than they could handle. A handful of men and woman were already lost. The Corporal wondered why Erwin hadn’t ordered a retreat yet. Slicing through another titan, Levi heard a sharp whistle coming from [Name]’s direction. Levi saw her squad appear around her, before they all nodded and sped off. [Name] whistled again as she clapped her blades together. The noise attracted the surrounding titans and they began towards her. Eyes never leaving the girl, Levi darted after her. What was she doing? Attracting them all to her like that. [Name] whizzed through the trees ahead of him before coming to a large trunk. The dark haired man hissed, preparing to the stupid girl, but a hand caught his shoulder and pulled him onto a neighboring branch.

“Let her be” Hanji whispered. “It’s all part of the plan.”

Eyes darting between [Name] and Hanji, Levi growled “She’s going to get herself killed.”
Both squad leaders turned back to look at the [height] girl standing on a branch high up the tree trunk. The titans below clawed at the bark, trying to get to their prey. She let out another whistle, before jumping off the branch and shooting her blades into the center of the group. She flew right through the middle, all the titans turning in to catch her. As they exposed their necks to the tree line, two squads of cadets launched out of the surrounding darkness. Within seconds all the titans lay on the floor, steam seeping out of their bodies. [Name] stood among the bodies with her squad, congratulating them on a job well done. She never saw the angry in the Corporal’s eyes.

Long legs carried you across the courtyard. Your fists were clenched at your sides as you stormed passed your fellow. Many stepped out the way, none asked any questions. Anyone could see by the look on your face that you were beyond pissed. Finally getting to the main building, you stomped through the front doors. You slammed open the second door on your right, glaring at the dark haired man behind the desk. He purposely ignored your presence and continued to focus on the papers in front of him. You marched over to the desk and slammed your palms down on the harsh wood.

“What the hell is your problem?” you growl, [e/c] eyes flaring with anger.

Levi’s steel eyes flickered to your face for a moment before settling back on his work. Without thinking you snatched up the papers. “Hey! I’m talking to you!”

Despite both of you being squad leaders, he was your senior and therefore your superior. However he was also your lover, and you’d be damned if you ever let him treat you like a fresh cadet. Leaning back in his chair, the ebony haired man crossed his arms over his chest and glared at you.

“Yes, Squad Leader [Last Name]?”

The iciness of his tone should have warned you, it should have given you a red flag that something had Levi mad, but you were too caught up in your anger to notice.

“What. The. Hell. Is. Your. Problem?” you spoke slowly, your voice full of haughtiness. “Erwin just told me you filed a report to have me demoted. Are you freakin’ kidding me?”

Grey eyes remained emotionless, and his pale face stayed stoic. “Did he say why?” he asked apathetically.

“Yeah he did. For carelessness and reckless endangerment.” You were sure he could see the steam coming out of your ears. You had never been this furious with Levi in your life. Not even when he made you clean pointless things when you were a cadet. You were practically shaking with anger.

However the Corporal remained impassive to your emotional state. “Then I fail to see why you’re here. You know why I submitted the report, so why pester me about it?”

Levi’s coldness finally set in, and your rage gave way to hurt. “Because it’s not like you. You know I tried my hardest to get to Squad Leader. You even pushed me to never give up! You had more faith in me than anyone. Why on earth would you ask the Commander to take all that away from me?”

For a brief moment, the man’s eyes softened and you could see the pain that lay beneath. But just as quickly they became void and cold. Levi wordlessly stood and walked over to the window. He silently gazed out at the lowering sun for a minute before speaking. “Because you are reckless, [Name]. That stunt you pulled yesterday could have cost you your life. You put yourself in danger, for what? Erwin would have called a retreat any moment, but you had to go and do something stupid.”

“Stupid?” you asked. “My squad, along with the help of Hanji’s, took out over 15 titans in under two minutes. We prevented any more unnecessary deaths that would have occurred had we just waited to retreat.” You were confused by the anger in his voice. Levi hated pointless deaths, shouldn't he be proud?

“At what cost?!” Levi hissed, spinning around. “You could have died, [Name]. That’s the issue here. You put yourself in a risky situation-“

You cut him off. “Why is this bothering you so much? I thought you would be happy. I know you hate when soldiers die for no reason.”

“But I could have lost you!” he shouted. Both of you froze, shocked by his outburst. You knew Levi cared about you, but he was never one to blatantly show his feelings. A light blush dusted your cheeks as your lips pulled up in a small smile.

“I’m not a cadet anymore, Levi” you whispered, walking over to him. “You don't need to constantly protect me. I can take care of myself.”

You placed a gentle hand on his shoulder as you leaned over and brushed a kiss on his cheek. “But thank you for caring.”

The man didn't reply, just continued to stare out his window. You let out a sigh and turned to leave. As you opened the door, you looked back over your shoulder. “You know, you really are turning into a grumpy old man.”

A smirk pulled on your lips as you watched Levi turn to you slowly. It dropped off your face as soon as you saw the fury in his steely eyes. “What did you call me?” he said in a low voice.

“I called you a grumpy...” One step backwards. “...old…” and another “man!”

You yelp as the man lunched for you, darting out of his office. You let out a laugh as you sprinted down the path to your room. If you could just get inside and lock him out. Running passed Hanji and Commander Erwin, you waved.

“[Name] what’s the problem…” the words died on Hanji’s tongue as a furious Levi stormed by the pair.

“Guess they made up” Erwin chuckled.

“Were you actually going to demote her?” the brunette woman asked.

Erwin shook his head. “And get involved in a lover’s spat? No way.”

You were almost at your room, [e/c] eyes lighting with victory, when a strong arm latched around your waist. You were spun around and roughly hoisted up onto someone’s shoulder. You glanced up and saw the familiar mop of raven hair. Many of the cadets you passed stared at you in shock as you were carried across the grounds by the stoic Corporal. You let out a chuckle and were rewarded with nice slap on your rear. Your face heated up in embarrassment as the soldiers around you laughed.

“Levi!” you whined, covering your face with your hands. “Not in front of the cadets! I’m supposed to be a respected captain!”

He slapped your bottom again, ignoring your request. All the ways he could have shown you he cared and he chooses this one. Before long you arrive back at the Corporal's office. You heard him kick open his door, shutting it behind him with his heel. He strode over to his desk and roughly placed you down on it.

“I am not an old man” he hissed, gripping you chin.

“I’m not sure about that” you sang smugly. “You are grumpy, you have an obsession for all things clean and tidy, and you were already a captain when I graduated so you must be older…”

Levi cut you off by roughly slamming his lips down on yours. You stiffened, surprised by the warm action from a man you thought was mad at you, but soon relaxed into the kiss. His tongue brushed across your lower lip and you gladly gave him entrance. His warm hands massaged your sides, causing you to arch into him. Levi dragged his teeth against you lip, biting it roughly. You couldn’t stop the whimper of pleasure that escaped you.

“I’ll show you who’s an old man…” he whispered huskily in your ear before nimble fingers attacked the buttons on your shirt. It was off in an instant and you shivered in the cold room. Levi smirked before dropping his warm mouth to your collar. He trail hot kisses up your neck and nipped at your sweet spot. You bit your lip as you tried to suppress another moan. The dark haired man moved one hand into your hair, tugging gently, as the other massaged your chest. You lifted your shaky fingers and began to clumsily unbutton his shirt. As he sucked on your skin, Levi turned his attention to your boots. Without breaking from you he unlaced them both as cast them aside before focusing on your pants. Long fingers unbuckled the harness and the buttons underneath.

“As I still an old man?” he purred, lifting you off the desk with one arm as the other slid off your pants.

Sitting in nothing but your underclothes, Levi stepped away from you. He stared at you with a heated look in his usually cold eyes, and you realized that despite his hurtful report he was really just worry for you. The man just had a messed up way of showing how much he cared. You took a moment to admire his now bare chest, almost drooling over the defined abs and chest. Your [e/c] eyes met his grey ones, swimming with playfulness as he waited for your answer. Biting you lip, you debated your answer.

“Well if that’s all you’ve got, maybe it’s time to consider retirement.”

Levi narrowed his eyes at you and let out a growl before pinning you to his desk. You couldn’t help the smile that graced your lips as he attacked your chest with his mouth. Levi was so fun to tease and with such a long night ahead of you, you couldn’t help but whisper...

“Don’t break a hip, old man.”
