blanked ponies are kinda like zombies. they're cursed to forever relive the same day over and over, even in death. but they're smart and know what they're doing. Sunny Town was a ton of blank flanks. they lived so far out in the forest that no pony ever heard of cutie marks. when they did, it was during the first cutie pox outbreak over 100 years ago. so they thought of them as cursed marks. anypony who got a cutie mark either had it burned off or was burned alive because they thought it'd spread. they killed an innocent little girl because she got her cutie mark, burned her alive. so the forest itself cursed the town. they CAN infect other ponies but only if they're blank flanks.
