Mt Ngauruhoe photographed from neighboring Mt Ruapehu while skiing one weekend.This is the volcano that was used as 'Mount Doom' in the 'Lord of the Rings' trilogy.
This picture was taken with a Canon EOS 35mm camera using Kodak film.

This is a beautiful volcano, covered in snow like that it looks so gentle and docile-not at all like an angry volcano. Which it's not in this picture-it must be sleeping.

Oh I used to go skiing with the same guys every year but as we grew we all went in different directions - some got married, some went overseas - that sort of thing! Any chance I get to get away now I go up to the beach house as I love it there!

Yes.. A very beautiful memory.. In fact I would insist you to once visit Ladakh.. Its heaven.. paradise.. And people actually experience Nirvana here..

It has the highest motor-able road in World.. 18380 ft above sea level.. And the whole journey.. the road is simply divine and very very beautiful..
