I whipped this up recently and have been staring at it for quite a while. I put symbols that represent either me or the human animal around a symbol representing the human being.

Let me just break down the symbols for everyone - i'm kind of bored anyway.

Top: Saturn is known as the Greater Malefic, the bringer of sorrow, and the one who deprives. But Saturn only brings sorrow and deprivation in those areas of a person's life that are based on illusions or unrealistic expectations. Saturn represents the unrelenting aspect of reality that forces the individual to abandon all ideas that are not based on a realistic perception of the material conditions of life.

Top Left: This combination of the heart sign and the cross means just what it looks like, i.e. the feeling of sorrow, grief. It appears as a sign on clothes in Ghana and is known as Nsoran.

Bottom Left: Mercury stands for the intellect and, on a more fundamental level, for the processes of symbolism, the basis for our communication systems. All our knowledge of the parts of the world that we cannot directly perceive reaches us via symbols and signs. When these symbols and signs (e.g. words, pictures and ideograms) reach us, we associate them with our memories of our perceptions of the world, and then true knowledge or illusions (false ideas) about the world we live in are released in us. For every sensory perception that reaches us, there is some outer physical reality.

Bottom Right: Is associated with energy, power, war, and death.

Top Right: This is another of the earliest ideograms used by humans in this cycle of civilization. It was associated with the idea of divinity and power.
