He comes from a world called Contq, which is an immensely desolate world almost entirely made of metal and with a hugely scarce population of living beings. These beings are elf-like creatures, though many of their body parts are made of robotics after long years of decay due to the incredibly thick atmosphere completely blocking out the sun, leading to complete deprivation of vitamin D, which was an absolutely essential life source of those people. Many of the others had died early, and artificial light was their only source of life.

Personality~

A very strange little robot, he is still very new to his emotions. What one might find the most curious about him is... his curiosity. He will constantly ask you "What's this?" "Why is this?" "Can I give this [a] purpose?" things like that. He tries his best to be happy all of the time, due to the fact that such an emotion gives off a positive feeling in his circuits. Although, due to being programmed with an entire race's worth of knowledge, he becomes very frustrated and upset when he doesn't know something, and will work tirelessly to find the answer. It is also impossible for him to hide his emotion, for whatever emotion he is feeling will appear as the color of the "eyes" that appear on the screen on his helmet.

Being a robot, designed to serve others, he is very gullible when it comes to being given orders. It doesn't matter who it is, how they've previously treated him or even what they are, he will obey 90% of the time (eventually, when he comes to know people, his percentage to obey them will rise or drop) He also doesn't understand sarcasm, so if you tell him to "Go make me a sandwich," he'll reply with "Surely!" and it'll basically be, "... Wait really"

Despite his metal and serious-looking exterior, he actually has quite a cute character, although he can be a little bit too respecting of people... and he doesn't understand humor at all. Asking a lot of questions, he can seem like a child at times with how little common sense he has, despite the mass amounts of knowledge that he has up in his database.

Even through all of that, he is a brilliant strategist and is able to look at all sides of a situation due to the data that has been programmed into his mind from past events in his planet's history. He also contains knowledge on a very wide variety of items, histories, how things work, etc..

His ultimate dream is to become a humanoid, a living being, to feel pain, to have flesh and blood and a heart that he can listen to as it beats, so that he can be one with his creators and those who he eventually comes to like. Although he unaware that this is possible, he still feels the "hope" that it might happen.

Upon receiving his upgrade, Four has gained a bit more worldliness, and is a bit easier to communicate with.

History~

The remaining beings of Four's world realized that soon their race was to become extinct, and thus they began a projet--project F.O.U.R. Now, they had spoken a language different from their own, and four had not been a number, but an antonym that roughly translated to "Life Carrier." And thus they began building a robotic being, first making it controlled by computer and depending heavily on electricity. After years of work, they had perfected it to the level that it could live on its own, run by the power of the sun (they had figured they would send him off to another world to carry on their knowledge for them, one that would have sunlight) and that could also defend itself using sparks of electricity, and could also learn, giving it "vocal cords" made of thick material that, when impulses were sent down from the "brain" of the being, the cords would vibrate and create voice in order to communicate. They had tried to make their creation as lifelike as possible--in fact, they had even created a form of circulatory system, based completely on plasma, which pulsed through the body cavity via a small generator similar and in the same place as a heart. The plasma, charged with electrons when passing near the solar panels, would bring energy to the rest of the parts that kept it functioning.

Eventually, they had programmed emotion into it, along with the ability to process information in the reflection of thought. Shortly after this had been installed, Four had become unstoppably curious and examined everything that was around him (though genderless, Four was called a "he") (he also broke a lot of things), for though he had information on what those things are, he hadn't any images or any connections as to how those things functioned in reality.

In his curious endeavors, he came upon a door, and upon passing through that door found himself outside of the lab he had been "born" in. Curious things, too--sky, cold and warm, strange colors he had never come across before. He had wound up in Telia. Not only that, but there was sun. Although he as now able to be fully charged, the control he had been given over electricity in order to defend himself seemed to be malfunctioning greatly. It was then that he had learned of Asrtal, and an emotion he had never felt before--hope--had appeared in his circuit boards. He could save his dying world and return to it, being granted becoming a complete form of life? What was this he felt? Was this a feeling of want? A desire to fulfill a goal? Eager to settle this emotion, Four had begun a quest to find this Astral.

On his travels, he had encountered many people, one of which who had assisted in progressing his design, for the status he had arrived in Telia with was not his completed form.

Other~
~ He is massively weak to water. Get him wet, he'll short circuit and shut down.
~ He also doesn't function well in darkness, and can only go about an hour in it before being forced to shut down.
~ He doesn't require food or water, and cannot feel pain, though if he takes a hit he will begin to get incredibly glitchy (which is fun to watch).

Upgrade Details~
~ His new "Skin" is very rubbery and cold, and quite thick. If you cut it, it won't bleed, also, it will simply reveal the tubing of "blood" he has running through him, as well as more mechanics, which is more difficult to cut through. Although he can sense if he is touched, he cannot feel heat or warmth on it.
~ Though he can still only speak with three words at a time, his voice is a bit clearer to understand and more mature. His articulation has also improved.
~ His solar panels are no longer around his neck, and instead compressed and hidden in his skin.
~ His methods of self-defense have improved in the means that instead of extending panels of electricity in times of parel, he is now able to charge his arms instead in a sort of "Thunder Fist."
~ Many of his "mental" processes have become automatic. For example, instead of going around having to take mental pictures of things, these actions are done automatically.
