Description
A small turtle-like character I decided to make one day when I found an interesting shell at the beach...He stands 3cm high and is made from polymer clay.

So fantastic!
The details, are, as usual, absolutely amazing - especially for something so small!
That, and the fact that you used a real shell, make this model feel so very alive. ^^
He's also extremely cute.

Thanks, I really want to find another one of those shells...I reckon I could make a neat kabuto-like creature from it.

Indeed it is, I'm not exactly what kind it is though.
I just stumbled across it one day at the beach.

It looks almost like one of those trilobite shells!

Haha, maybe they're not extinct after all?
I have a feeling it's the shell of a Chiton, one of these strange little shellfish that stick to boulders and rocks after the tide goes out, and are absolutely impossible to remove...

Return of the trilobite...
Yeah, it does look rather like one of those. We have them here on the west coast of BC, and on occasion I have tried to get them off...pointless. I didn't know they left behind shells, though.
